Game Overview - Rotation
- After the Round ends, skaters from both teams have 15 seconds to rotate.
- Only three of the five skaters actually switch positions. The order (i.e. who the Wing Dodge picks to be the NEXT Wing Dodger) can change throughout the game.
- The Wing Dodger selects one of the three Base Dodgers to replace him. The helmet cover is passed and the prior Wing Dodger becomes a Fielder.
- The two Base Dodgers that were not selected continue as Base Dodgers again in the next Round.
- The previous Fielder becomes a Base Dodger for the next Round.
Details - Special Cases - Exceptions
- All minor penalties expire at the end of each Round. Any skater who was waiting for a tag from a teammate, is back in the game and rotates positions as normal.
- During the 15 second rotation period skaters are free to move anywhere in their own territory regardless of their Skater position. They may do this to help collect balls and/or to talk strategy with their teammates.
- Except for the very first Round it is not neccessary that all the balls are held by skaters. Nor is it necessary that each team will have three balls when the whistle blows to start the next Round.
- Skaters must be standing in their correct zone at the end of the 15 seconds. Any skater who is not in the correct area will receive a Delay of Game (minor penalty) the moment the 15 seconds ends and the Round begins.
- Note: Once a skater becomes a Base Dodger they stay a base dodger until they are selected to be the next Wing Dodger. They might stay a Base Dodger for any number of Rounds. However, a Wing Dodger is only in that position for one Round at a time and must rotate to become a Fielder on the next Round. Likewise, a Fielder will always become a Base Dodger after playing in the Outfield for one Round.
- As soon as a Wing Dodger hands the helmet cover to a Base Dodger the selection is final and cannot be changed for the upcoming Round.
